S & K Painting

As the owner and founder of S&K Painting, Steve Hrosar brings a wealth of hands-on knowledge, dedication, and passion to every project he oversees. Based in the Warren and Youngstown, Ohio areas, Steve has dedicated his career to elevating residential spaces through his deep expertise in home painting services. As the primary author behind the S&K Painting blog, he deeply enjoys sharing his extensive industry insights to help homeowners make informed, confident decisions regarding their property upgrades, maintenance, and comprehensive renovations.

Over Three Decades of Hands-On Experience

Steve's writing and professional insights are backed by more than 30 years of hands-on experience in the painting and coatings industry. This impressive tenure has allowed him to master the nuances of everything from basic interior color transformations to complex exterior restorations and highly specialized cabinet refinishing. Over the last three decades, he has worked extensively with premium coatings, urethane enamels, and durable epoxy floor systems. This deep, practical expertise means that when Steve writes about the critical importance of thorough surface preparation or choosing the right premium materials, his advice comes directly from the field. He knows firsthand that lasting finishes are created long before the first brushstroke is ever made, and he uses this platform to educate readers on the true best practices of the trade.

An Outdoor Enthusiast and Family Man

When he is not overseeing detailed home improvement projects or writing about the latest painting industry trends, Steve is a devoted family man who heavily values his time away from work. He deeply enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Carol, and their two sons, Frank and Kris. An outdoor enthusiast, he loves hiking, camping, and traveling to explore new places and create lasting memories with family and friends. This strong family orientation heavily influences his professional life, as he understands that a home is the ultimate backdrop for a family's most cherished memories, driving his desire to help others protect and beautify those spaces.
